Quirky, thoughtful, original Christmas gifts from Irish shops and Retailers

Quirky, thoughtful, original Christmas gifts from Irish shops and Retailers

I know you are BUSY and TIRED and December crept up on you OUT OF NO WHERE!

So this will be a quick, and easy gift guide, choc-a-block with original, special, one-of-a-kind gifts for the people you love.

Lets GO!

For your Granny/Grandfather/elderly relative/Mom or Dad...

Build your own personalised gift box from The Book Resort in Waterford

I LOVE the Book Resort - There is so much to choose from - My favourite is the Build your own Gift Box. From great books, colouring books, chocolate, candles, socks, calendars and more, you can really build a curated collection perfect for your special someone. An Irish business supporting Irish business across the island.

For your Water Obsessed Friend/Aunt/Brother/Cousin...

Basically anyone you know who spends time down by the sea, get them their very own Tide Clock from The Tide Clock Shop in Sligo

What I LOVE about these Tide Clocks is that they are made from legit nautical maps of the places you might swim/fish/surf/frequent. Which means they are full of really interesting details such as depths, shoreline features and navigational aids (like buoys or lighthouses!).

An excellent gift: Choose where they usually go as the location of the Tide Clock, or go for nostalgia and get one from the place they grew up.

AND GUESS WHAT?! They just wrote to me with a coupon for y'all: free shipping on all orders until December 13th! Use the words Mad Jesse

For the Children...

So many beautifully made and thoughtful toys from Little Ones in Ennis

Quality children's toys, books, gifts and more. Made well and made to last, I was delighted to find this shop recently! They stock great brands who have children at the heart of their though process, which equals toys that are made just for them.

And, they were really quick with the shipping too!

For the Plant-Lovers, the frazzled, the ones who deserve some peace and serenity...

I am obsessed with EVERYTHING from Sunfleck in Dungarvan

I want my home to look and feel like the inside of Sunfleck - peaceful and wonderful. Run by Louise, uber-qualified in Botany, zoology and plant science, she can tell you exactly which plant will suit which room, person, or even level of care! She even runs a little plant hospital (seriously I am obsessed) and she ships all across Ireland.

Not everything is plants, but everything is curated for wellness, so expect to find tactile ceramics, natural cacao, incense, crystals, chimes and gorgeous plant pots!

For the Quirky, difficult to buy for...

I Love everything in The Magpie Collective in Waterford

A vibrant art and apparel hub led by women and non-binary creators, I routinely call in here any time I need a gift for someone. Full to the brim of original, handmade, one-of-a-kind items from prints, beads, stickers, plushies, felt, totes, magic frogs, prints, cups, hats, sculptures, cards, and of course, a large selection of vintage, preloved, designer and upcycled apparel for ALL sizes. If you need to stock up on stocking fillers, this is the place!

For the Wool-Lover, the Arty person, the Eco warrior or just for some Socking Fillers...

Eh, obviously you know you are already in the right place! From heritage knits, to cozy tube scarver (hand drawn illustrations on each one!) and plantable pencil stocking fillers, Mad Jessie has something for everyone!

Choose from delightful stocking fillers like plantable pencils for €3.50 each, Cup Cozies for €6 and more. For mid-range gifts, explore Limited Luxury Totes and versatile Sustainable Snuzzles, the perfect multi-use accessory, or the Soft Stripy Hat. For premium gifts, consider the heritage knit hat collection, made from 100% lambswool in Ireland, alongside eco-friendly options like GuppyFriend wash bags and art prints.

I pack each and every gift myself, with a 10% discount and a hand written note!

Happy Shopping!
