I am The Cailleach, the old woman of winter

Do not turn your face away from me, human

See your fear of me and my cold winter nights.

See your fear of the death of the year and the white frost on your fields.

See your fear of the dying sun and the approaching storms.

So look into my eyes,

see me dance with the falling leaves,

celebrate what you have,

paint your face with happy colours to brighten the gloom
