The designs for this range of leggings came from a visit to Malahide Castle, and the butterfly greenhouse which houses over 20 species of tropical butterflies.
Inspired by the the patterns on the wings of the Rumanzovia Swallowtail Butterfly (also known as the “Scarlet Mormon”), found native to the Philippines, Taiwan, parts of eastern Indonesia and Australia. I was so taken with the pattern of their wings and their dramatic red and black markings that I created this strong design. These leggings are made from a high-quality, strong, durable and comfortable fabric, printed with a limited design especially for the Spring/Summer season.
Sewn with a flat seam and cover stitch, with a front gusset for extra comfort, the fabric contains 82% polyester and 18% spandex, is 38-40 UPF, and the material has a four-way stretch, so the fabric stretches and recovers on the cross and lengthwise grains. Precision-cut and hand-sewn after printing.

Please be aware that contact with rough surfaces and velcro fasteners should be avoided since they could pull out the white fibres in the fabric and could damage the leggings’ appearance.
